Winter Foliage w/ @karen_millen
With Thanksgiving upon us, and a slight dip in South Florida temperatures; richer colors and fascinating textures are flourishing into the fashion landscape.
Think darker leaves, berries & stems of plants that add color and visual interest to everything around us.
We may not have a first snow, but we do have sweater weather, and beautiful tropical foliage and captivating colors to celebrate the fall/winter season.
This year, I’m thankful for my health, my hubby and my friends who love me like family.
I do miss my mom and feel sad around the holidays, but I’m trying to find peace in grief; allowing myself the realization you can’t have love without grief or grief without love. I believe it’s the portal hole to humanity itself.
If you’re lonely, have lost someone or feel down during this time of year, allow yourself to feel all of it. It’s a key part of healing. Acknowledgement, acceptance and self awareness are true gifts.
